We came here for the 7 courses of beef. This is satisfactory and delicious. In order to enjoy this meal, one should prepare to roll sleeves and do some prep works. Nothing too demanding, just requires some finger works to make several types of rolls using rice papers and ingredients supplied by the house. The most satisfying moment is to dip the roll into the sauce and about to take a bite. Bon appetite!!!!!
Food and portions were good. The restaurant itself has a family feel vibe. The service was good. Staff and friendly and accommodating. Portions are well dealt out, so you will go home feeling full and well nourished. If you're looking for a good meal stop by Ánh Hông for a bite!
Their pho doesn't have much MSG comparing to other pho restaurants. Their soft spring rolls is a bit hard. Fried squid was so so.
You can't go wrong with Vietnamese food in Dorchester. With so many restaurants to choose from it's really hard to try them all if you aren't from the area and distinguish which is the best. What's great about Anh Hong is that they have a pretty extensive menu. They offer the typical pho, vermicelli bowls, and rice plates that you can find at most Vietnamese restaurants but they also offer a lot more. I like restaurants you can go to if you are in the mood for food that is reminiscent of a home-cooked meal especially since my mom's cooking is 1800 miles away. You can come here for a simple meal and get a bowl of noodle soup, a fun meal and try the 7 courses of beef AKA bo 7 mon, or a comfort meal with canh chua (sour soup) and ca kho to (caramelized fish).
Good food at cheap/reasonable prices easily win me over. The food here is pretty good and affordable. The muc rang muoi (salted fried squid) was tasty and definitely had a kick. I appreciate the amped up spice from all the jalapeno peppers. While it isn't my favorite, it does the job of satisfying my salty fried squid cravings. I got the banh hoi, dau hu ky, chao tom (steamed vermicelli, fried shrimp paste wrapped in tofu skin, grilled shrimp paste) to make my own spring rolls. It came with a bowl of hot water, rice paper, and a mixture of fresh and pickled vegetables. The chao tom was delicious and had a nice flavor but the dau hu ky kind of fell flat because there wasn't much shrimp paste inside nor was it tender or juicy inside. Nevertheless I was able to make about 4-5 solid spring rolls.
Pho real good bun, spring rolls, and bubble tea. Honestly, they were nothing short of delicious. Made up for several let downs at other restaurants. My server was very courteous and attentive. He spoke limited English but patiently reviewed and customized my entrée. Though simple on the outside, the ambiance is a mellow amber with music reminiscent of the karaoke bars of SE Asia. Fairly priced as well.
They offer indoor dining which i liked. Service was slow as the wait staff was eating lunch and attending to customers when u finally cath their attention. The food was very good and tasty. I would go back and i def would recommend
Always my go to place. Customer service is always lovely. Food is amazing. I always tell my friends, who are usually first time Vietnamese eater. This simple rice dish, and the Thai tea is sweet but just in the right way.
Highly recommend. I go there at least once a week if I don't cook. #justsaying #vietnamesefoodyummy
I had shrimp with broccoli in a savory garlic sauce and it was delicious. I also had an avocado smoothie with tapioca pearls that was divine. The photo is my first of three plates from the platter. The price was very reasonable too.
